Data protection

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (Austrian Data Protection Act DSG 2018, GDPR, Austrian Telecommunications Act TKG 2003). In this privacy statement we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.

Please read this statement carefully, as it explains how we collect, process and store your personal data. Every access to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on it is logged. This storage serves internal, system-related and statistical purposes. The following are logged: name of the retrieved file, date, time of the retrieval, volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, web browser, requesting domain, IP address of the requesting computer, search terms, (…)*. We process and store all personal data that you transmit to us in the course of e-mail enquiries (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, etc.) in order to carry out the contact you have requested and to maintain further customer relationships. This data is stored by us until you submit a written request for its deletion.

Further personal data is only collected if you provide details voluntarily, in the context of an enquiry or registration, in order to conclude a contract, or via your browser settings. Should we pass data on to external service providers, appropriate technical and organisational measures are taken to ensure that the transfer is carried out in accordance with the statutory data protection provisions.

1.1. When you contact us by e-mail, the user's details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case follow-up questions arise.

1.2. We do not pass this data on without your consent, unless this is necessary for the performance of the contract or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. Without this data we are unable to conclude the contract with you. This applies in particular to applications submitted via the e-mail addresses.

2.1. The provider (or its web hosting provider) collects data about accesses to the website (so-called server log files). The access data includes: name of the accessed website, file, date and time of the access, volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited website), IP address and the requesting provider.

2.2. The provider uses the log data only for statistical analyses for the purpose of the operation, security and optimisation of the website. However, the provider reserves the right to review the log data retrospectively if concrete indications give rise to a justified suspicion of unlawful use.

3.1. We automatically collect and store in our server log files information that your browser transmits to us. This comprises: browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server request. This data cannot be attributed to specific persons by the provider. This data is not merged with other data sources, and the data is moreover used only for statistical analyses.

3.2. Personal data is only collected, used and passed on by the provider where this is permitted by law or where the users consent to the collection of the data.

We would like to point out that, in connection with your visit to our website, we use cookies for advertising and communication purposes, to carry out the sign-up (or registration) and enquiries, and to prevent spam (see also www.allaboutcookies.org). These are small text files that are stored on your device with the help of your browser. We use cookies to make our offering user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.

4.1. If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and so that you only allow this in individual cases. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

4.2. Session cookie (local): this is a technical cookie that stores the user's actions within a website. It is deleted when you leave the website.

4.3. How cookies can be deactivated, deleted or blocked: the website you visit lets you tick/untick the individual cookies using the methods illustrated below, with the note, however, that in the event of deactivation full use of the website can no longer be guaranteed.

5.1. Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”) in the USA, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043. Cookies are used for this, which enable an analysis of the use of the website by your users. The information generated in this way is transferred to the provider's server and stored there. You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's privacy policy at the following link support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245

5.2. You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. We use this information exclusively for the purposes of our own market research and the optimisation of the website's design.

5.3. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or insofar as third parties process this data on Google's behalf. Google will under no circumstances associate your IP address with other data held by Google. You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; please note that in this case you may not be able to use all the functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purpose described above.

5.4. If you do not want your anonymised data to be used for the website analysis, you can find a tool to deactivate it here: Open cookie settings.

5.5. The processing of your data is carried out here on the basis of our legitimate interest, or that of a third party, for the purpose of the website and the improvement of our services. The relationship with the web analytics provider is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (in the case of the USA: “Privacy Shield”).

5.6. Data processing is furthermore carried out on the basis of the statutory provisions of Section 96 (3) TKG and Article 6 (1) (f) (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offering and our web presence.

We use the “IP anonymisation” function. As a result, your IP address is truncated beforehand by Google within member states of the EU or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with further services relating to website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics is not merged with other data held by Google.

You generally have the rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data infringes applicable data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been violated, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority at any time. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde):

Accessibility

Mes Amis is committed to making mesamis.at accessible to everyone, in line with the EU Web Accessibility Directive and the Austrian Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz, and aiming at the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We continuously work to improve.

  • Semantic HTML with clear landmarks and heading structure.
  • Full keyboard operability, including the navigation and mobile menu, with a visible focus outline.
  • ARIA labels on navigation, menu and dialogs; an active page is marked with aria-current.
  • Descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images.
  • Animations respect the “reduced motion” preference and fall back to a static image.
  • Sufficient colour contrast for text and interactive elements.

Some embedded third-party content and decorative illustrations may not be fully described. Where you encounter a barrier, please let us know and we will provide the information in an accessible form.

If you experience any accessibility barrier on this website, please contact us — we are happy to help and to improve:
